flair-it 06815 elbow coupler 3/8" fl x 3/8" fl, fresh water pex fitting
connects 3/8" pex or polybutylene.
1/2" pex tubing is 1/2" id & 5/8" outer diameter
3/8" pex tubing is 3/8" id & 1/2" outer diameter
flair-it fittings are an excellent solution for diy (do it yourself) plumbing repairs.
they require no special tools.
installation is easy, slide the nut along the pex tubing, rock the fitting back & forth into the pex tube, slide the nut back along the tube & tighten (snuggly) onto the fitting.
the double threaded nut will thread onto the tube & the fitting, forming a tight seal. if the fitting leaks, tighten the nut a little more.
you may want to use the flair-it wrench, if you need additional leverage.
